As expected on Tuesday night the Gering Platte Valley Companies seniors had no issues with a still winless Bridgeport team, winning at Oregon Trail Park 16-1 in three innings.
After Bridgeport scored a run in the top of the first inning Gering responded quickly with four runs in the bottom of the frame and then went on to score six runs in the second inning and six more in the third inning to walk it off as PVC improved to 16-5 this year.
Gering collected 15 hits in the three innings and got three hit games from Jackson Howard (4 RBI) and Lukah Schwery (3 RBI). Bo Gable drove in three runs while Kelan Dunn and Isaiah Murillo had two RBI games.
Schwery got the 3-inning complete game win striking out two and allowing one earned run.
Gering B&C Steel won the juniors game 15-0.
