A former Colorado man with more than six years emergency management experience has taken the post of Region 22 Emergency Manager.

In a news release Tuesday, Robert ‘Rob’ Crowder was announced to have started his new duties as of Monday, Sept. 9.

In the release, it’s noted that Crowder has a track record of success in his previous role as Emergency Manager for Sedgwick County Colorado, where he also served as a volunteer firefighter and EMT. He also held the role of Operations Section Chief on an as-needed and when-available basis with the State of Colorado’s Incident Management Team, serving communities throughout that state.

Local officials say they’re happy to welcome Rob and his family to the community, and look forward to the new leadership that will help continue and implement strategies to carry on Region 22’s initiatives and mission.
