Here’s a quick rundown on Class B, C, and D District Golf meets that were held on Monday with the State Tournaments coming up next week. The top three teams at districts qualified for state as did the top ten individual finishers.
Class B-4 at Hastings
- Scottsbluff finished third with a combined score of 324; McCook won at 314 with Adams Central second
- Top area finisher was Gering’s Jack Maser who posted a round of 77 to finish 5th
- Scottsbluff had two top ten finishers in Tommy Dredla and Wisley Mooc

Class C-5 at Johnson Lake
- Cael Peters of Mitchell finished 3rd on the leaderboard with a round of 75 to qualify for State
- Chadron qualified their team through to state with a 3rd place finish with a combined score of 334; Kearney Catholic won the district title
- Chadron’s Broc Berry shot 76 to finish inside the top 10

Class D-5 at North Platte
Lot of good stuff here for the Panhandle…
- Hemingford won the team title with a combined score of 363
- Kimball also qualified for state with a third place finish, shooting 374
- Kimball’s Kyler Lusche besting Hemingford’s Dax Powell for the district title after both shot matching 80’s for the 18 holes
- Hemingford’s Jacob Bryner also was inside the top 10
- Other qualifiers from the region include Rhett Flack of Crawford, Gavin Hunt of Garden County, and Jacob Walker of Mullen
