A Terrytown man arrested following a shooting at the Rebecca Winters’ Apartments last month that left one man dead has had his charges amended, and is now facing an additional, separate case alleging drug distribution.

Prosecutors filed an amended complaint last week against 19-year-old Anibal Domingo Jr., dropping without prejudice charges of second degree murder and use of a firearm to commit a felony, but adding two class II felony charges of accessory to a felony.

In making the amendment, prosecutors contend the 19-year-old lied to law enforcement about the circumstances surrounding the shooting Nov. 18 when he was interviewed the following day.

During a preliminary hearing last Friday in Scotts Bluff County Court, that case was bound over to District Court for arraignment Dec. 15, with bond reduced to $5,000.

Meanwhile, Domingo was scheduled to make an initial appearance Monday on a pair of class II felony charges of distribution of methamphetamine.

Court records say in 2021, the then-17 year old sold meth to Cooperating Individuals twice during controlled buys conducted by the WING Drug Task Force.

Class II felonies are punishable by a minimum of one year in prison, up to a maximum of fifty years incarceration.
