Get your costumes and floats ready for the Oregon Trail Days Kiddie Parade!
The Oregon Trail Days Kiddie Parade is coming up quick! Children aged through 12 are encouraged to create and enter an original, colorful, and creative costume and/or float. The Kiddie Parade will be held on Friday, July 8th. Participants should register between 9:15-9:50 a.m. The parade will begin at 10 a.m. at Legion Park, in Gering. There is no entrance fee to participate. All children through age 12 are welcome. There are 14 categories: Girl’s and Boy’s decorated bicycles, Wild West (pioneers, cowboys, cowgirls, historic wagons and floats), Clowns, Nursery Rhymes and Storybook Characters, Entertainers, Far Away Lands, Patriotic Characters, Sports, General, Pets, Prehistoric and Dinosaurs, Art-Creative, and Equine. Participants must be dressed in costumes created at home with an original, colorful theme or idea. All children in the parade will receive a participant ribbon and one carnival ticket.
