Eastern Nebraska farmer hit by 75 mph winds | Fridays in the Field | Ep. 13

July 29th, 2022

Tekamah farmer Quentin Connealy was recently hit by 75 mph wind gusts at his farm.

Connealy said the wind blew over irrigated corn staged right before or at tassel, which he said allowed it to stand back up and recover.

Aside from cleaning up from storm damage, Connealy said he’s been busy irrigating, treating for Japanese beetles, and applying fungicide

In this year’s season of Friday’s in the Field, Susan Littlefield will follow along with Connealy to learn more about his operation.
