The cause of a Monday night house fire in southwest Scottsbluff is under investigation.
Shortly before 6 p.m., the Scottsbluff Fire Department was dispatched to a structure fire in the 1900 block of West Overland.
Upon arrival, firefighters observed heavy smoke conditions but located the main body of fire on the exterior of the home.
Fire Chief Tom Schingle says the fire was quickly knocked down on the exterior and then efforts began to mitigate the fire that intruded into the home.
Fortunately, no one was at the home upon arrival of emergency units and there were no injuries, damages are estimated at approximately $25,000.
