Volunteers round-up to help make rodeo a success in Lincoln

More than 350 volunteers are helping host the National High School Finals Rodeo, which is taking place in Lincoln this year.

Spearheading the volunteer efforts is Ann Bruntz. Bruntz is retired from the University of Nebraska Foundation and lends her volunteer service to several organizations and causes.

The volunteers are helping with all elements of the rodeo, from RV check-in to ticket scanning at the grandstand gates.

Bruntz says they are still accepting volunteers. Those interested can simply show up at the Lancaster Event Center Fairgrounds and check in at the volunteer trailer.

Volunteers will receive free beverages, a t-shirt, and a rodeo ticket (depending on the number of hours worked.)

The rodeo continues this week with performances at 9:00 AM and 7:00 PM.
