The Scottsbluff/Gering Seacats swim team was busy last week with two days of competition as they were in Grand Island for a double dual on Tuesday before competing at the McCook Quad on Friday.

Head coach Vanessa Woolsey said off a short turnaround from the meet in Omaha the prior weekend the team put up some good times.

“With the Omaha Westside meet on Saturday and one day of rest (Sunday) and one day of training (Monday), with the meet being on Tuesday. Not only did the swimmers have a lot of recovery time, they also had to swim this meet in a 25 meter pool which is longer than a 25 yard pool. As challenging as the turn around and different length of the pool, our swimmers continued to walk away with best times.”
