Authorities are investigating a two-vehicle fatality collision Saturday night in which a Scottsbluff man died.
In a release, Scottsbluff Police say shortly after 10 p.m., officers were called to the 1300 block of 14th Ave to investigate a traffic accident.
Sgt. Philip Eckerberg says the investigation revealed that 55-year-old Fredrick Evans of Scottsbluff was driving his black GMC pickup southbound on 14th Ave from East 15th Street when the vehicle crossed over to the left side of the road and struck a red 2012 GMC pickup.
The collision caused the black pickup to roll onto its right side, and Evans was not wearing a seat belt. Health conditions and alcohol use are being investigated as protentional contributing factors.
Scottsbluff Police were assisted on scene by Scottsbluff Fire Dept, Valley Ambulance Service, and Scotts Bluff County Sheriff’s Deputies.
