Two people are facing felony charges following a traffic stop early Monday morning that started when the driver of their vehicle blew a stop sign at East Overland and 21st Avenue.

Following the stop by an NSP Trooper, a probable cause search uncovered numerous meth pipes, baggies with suspected heroin, marijuana, mushrooms, and LSD blotter paper, several baggies with a total of 9 to 10 grams of what field-tested positive for methamphetamine and an 8 inch Bowie knife in the trunk.

The driver, 24-year-old Travis Buckley of Lyman, is charged with four felonies, including Distribution of a Controlled Substance, Methamphetamine, and Possession of a Deadly Weapon by a Prohibited Person.

29-year-old passenger Andrea Pittsley is charged with felonies Possession of a Controlled Substance and Evidence Tampering.

Prior to questioning at the Scottsbluff Public Safety building, Pittsley removed a baggie from a body cavity containing suspected meth, a glass pipe and cash, and handed it over to officers.

EDITOR’S NOTE: An earlier version of this story identified Pittsley as being 19-years-old. KNEB News regrets the error.
