Two people are facing high-level felony drug charges after they were found to be transporting a large quantity of narcotics last week.

Law enforcement in Scotts Bluff County had learned 35-year-old Tiffany Sprey of Scottsbluff, who had an active warrant, was riding public transportation into the area last Wednesday, and on her arrival she was taken into custody.

During a search, Officers found two baggies of blue pills marked M/30, identified as fentanyl, but Sprey contended they were given to her by her traveling companion, 39-year-old Antonio Sauceda of Ft. Lupton, Colorado.

A subsequent search of Sauceda uncovered 207 blue fentanyl pills in two bags, one of which also included more than 50 grams of a substance testing positive for methamphetamine.

Sauceda told officers Sprey had given him the two bags, and he was with Sprey to help her collect money for narcotics sales.

Both were charged with possession with intent to distribute meth, 28-140 grams, and possession with intent to distribute fentanyl, class 1C and 2 felonies, respectively.

Bond in both cases set at $200,000, and preliminary hearings for each were set for early August.
