Ott wins Platte Valley Pro-Am with big Sunday round

A.J. Ott of Fort Collins, Colorado posted a 11 under round of 61 on Sunday to win the 2022 Platte Valley Pro-Am Golf Tournament at 19 under par. His three day total was 197.

After posting rounds of 67 and 69 to open the tournament, Ott overcame a six shot deficit during his final round to win by three strokes over Brad Marek of Berkley, California.

Andrew Beckler (Topeka, KS) was the third place finisher at 15 under par.

The top amateur finisher was Jaren Calkins of Lander, Wyoming, he finished T-5th at 206 while Scottsbluff’s Brock Ehler was T-10th at 209.

The two day Pro-Am portion of the event finished on Saturday with the Clemens Carpet team taking home first place with a score of 176.9 while the Bytes/Zone combo team finished second at 177.6 while the Frontier Basement Solutions team finished in third place.

Ott took home a weekend best $10,650 as he won the $10,000 for the first place tournament win and $650 with the third place Frontier Basement Solutions team.
