It was a busy Wednesday afternoon for Scotts Bluff County Deputies, after a lengthy investigation at the Union Pacific South Morrill Rail Yard.

Sheriff Mark Overman says deputies were dispatched after an initial report came in saying a woman was on the property armed with a gun and knives.

He says during the investigation, it was determined there was no weapons of any kind. The subject was dealing with mental health issues and was taken to Regional West for evaluation.

Overman says nobody was injured, no crime was committed, and his deputies spent more than six-and-a-half hours dealing with Wednesday’s situation.
