The Scottsbluff City Council had a quick yet efficient meeting Monday night at City Hall, giving the green light to three redevelopment projects.

The council gave unanimous approval to the 26 Group Fuel Station West and the Flyover Brewing Company Expansion Projects redevelopment plans.

The first project is spearheaded by Eric Reichert, who will be building a similar gas station to his Essential Fuels on the east edge of town. The new gas station will be located at the northeast corner of 27th Street and Avenue I.

Flyover Brewing Company purchased the unit directly to its south to expand seating and production area.

The council also gave a positive recommendation to Chad Leeling for a liquor license for his new restaurant, 27th St. Wings and Burgers , located at the corner of 5th Avenue and 27th Street. He told the council he’s trying to bring in food offerings not readily available in town.

“It’s going to be more than wings and burgers,” he told the Council. “We did take a survey on Facebook to see what the town was missing, and a lot of it was Olive Garden- stuff like that. So we took a menu and we’re going to bring in pastas and everything we feel is missing in the area.”

Leeling, who also owns Shots Bar and Grill on East Overland, says the new venture is aimed to be mainly a restaurant and not have a night club type of feel.
