July was a good month for sales tax collections for the City of Scottsbluff, as it saw it’s fourth-highest monthly net sales tax receipts since the start of 2006.
The state refund to the city was more than $625,000, which was about $7,500 less than in June, but a 4.1 percent increase over July 2020 and nearly 16 percent higher than the same month the year before that.
Gering’s net tax receipts were a little more than $169,300, down more than 11 percent from June and about 4.3 percent off from July of last year.
However, that was still 16 percent higher than July 2019, before the virus pandemic gripped the country.
