The Scotts Bluff County Assessor’s Office would like to inform the public that the Nebraska Homestead Exemption program begins Thursday February 2, 2023, and will run through Friday June 30, 2023. This program may assist homeowners with the Real Property Taxes for their primary residence if they are over the age of 65 as of January 1 or certain disabled persons (doctor certification required). This program is also subject to valuation and income restrictions. 100% Disabled Service-Connected Veterans and widows of veterans who were rated 100% disabled at the time of the veteran’s death may contact the Veterans Service Office at (308) 436-6643 for additional information.
All pre-existing applicants will have their applications mailed for their convenience. Income Tax returns (when applicable) should be completed prior to applying for the program as the income information is applicable in the process. Please contact us at (308) 436-6627 for questions.
