A 56-year-old Scottsbluff man awaiting trial on a murder charge has been sentenced to up to 10 years in prison for his conviction on charges stemming from a separate incident two years ago.
Scotts Bluff County District Court Judge Andrea Miller gave Gregory Moore a sentence of not less than, and not more than one year for Assault Causing Bodily Injury, to be served concurrently with a sentence of not less than one year, and no more than two years for Terroristic Threats, with 355 days credit for time served.
Moore was also given a minimum of four to a maximum of eight years for Use of a Deadly Weapon to Commit a Felony, to be served consecutively after the other two sentences.
He was arrested in March of 2020 after pulling a knife on his landlord and subsequently attacking him with his fists.
Moore’s 2nd Degree Murder case tied to a stabbing at a different apartment later that year is still under review by the Nebraska Court of Appeals, after his lawyer claimed Moore’s right to a speedy trial was violated.
