Minatare Public Schools is now under an indoor mask mandate for all students, staff and visitors, effective Wednesday, Jan. 12.

In a letter dated Jan. 11 and posted on the District’s social media, Superintendent Rocky Robbins says the decision was made due to six positive test results over two days, with more results pending. He did not indicate how the positive test results were distributed among students, educators and staff.

Robbins says it’s not known how long the mandate will remain in effect, but at the very least it will last two weeks.

He calls it a necessary step to keep students and staff safe, and meeting face to face.
