A Melbeta man is facing felony charges after Scotts Bluff County Sheriff’s Deputies investigate a report of suspicious activity in a residence early Saturday morning.

Court records say 48-year-old Shalako Maglitto was taken into custody after officers responded to a call shortly before 2 a.m. about someone walking around with a flashlight inside a Melbeta home where no one should be doing so.

Deputies say Maglitto followed commands and came out of the residence, and when searched they found multiple prescription bottles not prescribed to him in his hoodie pocket, including one with the opioid Tramadol.

Maglitto is charged with felony Burglary and Possession of a Controlled Substance, and was scheduled for an initial appearance in Scotts Bluff County Court Monday afternoon.
