A local developer has broken ground for construction of a new car wash in Scottsbluff that they say will provide a unique experience.

Owner-developer John Hoehne of Scottsbluff was joined by city and county officials Wednesday to celebrate the start of work on The Shaggy Buffalo Car Wash, which he says will be the region’s first high-volume, state-of-the-art express
tunnel car wash.

“As of member of this community it has been a dream of ours to bring area residents this type of customer focused business for quite some time,” said Hoehne. “We are incredibly grateful for the support we’ve received, are excited to grow with this wonderful community and look forward to serving area residents into the future.”

Hoehne says he’s anticipating the new business just west of the Avenue I Viaero Wireless building will be open this coming summer.

Offerings will include a variety of single washes options where customers can conveniently select different products specific to their needs. Monthly memberships and business memberships will also be available.

“I’d like to thank our partners who helped to make our dream come true: Eric Reichert Construction, Trails West Architecture, Van Newkirk Real Estate, Frank Properties, First State Bank of Gothenburg, Scotts Bluff County, and the City of Scottsbluff,” said Hoehne.
