Governor Hopeful Carol Blood Looks to Bring New Life to Nebraska’s Executive Branch
September 13th, 2022 | Ryan Murphy

On Friday, Nebraska State Senator and Democratic Gubernatorial nominee Carol Blood made a stop in Gering as part of her statewide listening tour.

KNEB News caught up with Blood, who says she’s all about listening to Nebraskans and the issues facing them.

Blood says that having a strategic plan to tackle those issues is imperative to bringing change to Nebraska.

She says that coming from a farming family, having friendly policies for Nebraska farming and agriculture is another main priority for her.

Another key tradition in election years is having a gubernatorial debate, which is something that challenger Jim Pillen has not yet agreed to. Senator Blood says that Nebraskans deserve to hear how their elected officials think on their feet and respond to hard hitting questions.

Blood tells KNEB News that she wants to take “us versus them” mentality and focus on issues- not party affiliation.

She says that her website delves into the details on where she stands on the issues, and wants to bring change to the state.
