There was RRN-Scottsbluff high school softball coverage on Tuesday night as Gering went up to Chadron and improved to 19-6 with a 16-5 win in five innings over the Cardinals.

“Yeah it was good to see. You know the girls got the bats rolling in that first inning with three runs and then it kind of took them just a little while but kinda figured it out, then put some more at bats together and it was good to see them get the bats rolling again after a tough weekend”, head coach Zach Ostergard said.

Gering went 1-2 last weekend at the North Platte Invite.

In this one Gering got three hit games from Giannia Aguilar, Allee Lohr, Nickie Todd, and Brylee Dean. Aguilar homered and drove in three. Todd also drove in three runs while Autumn Elsen and Jada Schlothauer each drove in a pair.

Sarah Wiese was the winning pitcher for the Bulldogs.

Gering will play in Ogallala on Thursday with games against Cozad and Gothenburg.
