CHADRON, Neb. — October 18, 2021 — There should be a welcoming environment on Saturday at the Chadron State College campus, as the college hosts its students’ relatives and acquaintances for Friends and Family Day.

CSC football players and their families will participate in a brief pregame ceremony on Elliott Field, where they will be introduced one by one. Additionally, nametags will be available at the ticket booth for two of each players’ guests.

The last Friends and Family Day was in 2019, when CSC hosted the University of Texas-Permian Basin and scored a 43-21 win. Elijah Myles romped for 173 yards rushing and a touchdown, while the Eagles held the visiting Falcons to just 48 yards on the ground.

In the 2018 edition, the visiting team was Dixie State, which is now a Division I member of the Western Athletic Conference. Up by five points with a minute and a half remaining, the Eagles defense made a goal-line stand before Kevin Coy, Jr., ripped off the longest run from scrimmage in program history, going 97 yards for the 30-18 win.

Hall of Fame members will also be honored at the game, as well as in the ceremony to follow at 5:30 p.m. The 2021 inductees are Alysia (Wardyn) Clark for volleyball, Elijah Collins for men’s basketball, Rob Evans for football, Austin Forster for football, Marvin Jackson for football, Shelley (Kraus) Randle for volleyball, and Aaron Turner for football.

Tickets to the Hall of Fame ceremony are available to the public. They cost $20 for adults and must be purchased in advance via www.chadroneagles.com/tickets.
