Duo Accused of Throwing Man Out of Moving Truck on Highway 26

Two people have been arrested in for their alleged role of savagely beating a man and tossing him out of a moving truck onto the highway.

37-year-old Jose Frias of Scottsbluff and 26-year-old Breanna Talbert are charged with Assault Causing Bodily Injury to a Person in connection to an October 13th incident.

Court records show that NSP Troopers made contact with the victim in Scottsbluff following the assault. The victim said he asked Talbert for a ride to Walmart and were traveling north on County Road 19. At that point, Frias- who was hiding in the back seat- began punching the victim in the back of the head.

Frias then reportedly opened the door and pushed the victim out of the vehicle while still in motion. The victim noted that Talbert was recording the assault on her phone and laughing while recording.

Troopers observed the victim’s head to be cut open and bleeding, and significant signs of road rash.

On October 16th, troopers made contact with Frias and Talbert. They confirmed giving the victim a ride, but denied that any assault that occurred, and the victim jumped out of the moving vehicle on his own free will.

Frias will be back in court on October 26th, and Talbert has a pre-trial hearing for this case on December 6th.
