A Big Springs man is behind bars and facing charges in both Nebraska and Colorado following a traffic stop this past weekend.

The Deuel County Sheriff’s Office says during the stop Saturday, a deputy determined Charles Lile had a Colorado warrant for charges that include dflon in possession of a firearm, and he was taken into custody without incident.

During a pat-down search, deputies say they found an ounce and a half of methamphetamine on Lile, and during a search of his home, a handgun was located that matched the description of the weapon used in the Colorado case.

Charges in Nebraska against Lile include possession of meth with intent to distribute, evidence tampering and possession of a firearm by a prohibited person.
