Concordia University, Nebraska hosts presidential inauguration for Dr. Bernard Bull

SEWARD, NE (10/15/2021) Concordia University, Nebraska will host an inauguration ceremony for Dr. Bernard Bull, the university’s 11th president, on Oct. 22 at 11 a.m., at Friedrich Arena. The public is invited to attend.

A leader in Christian Lutheran higher education who began his tenure in August, Bull comes to Concordia after serving as president of Goddard College in Plainfield, Vermont from 2018-2021. Prior to Goddard, Bull served Concordia University Wisconsin in a variety of leadership roles, including vice provost for curriculum and academic innovation, chief innovation officer, assistant vice president of academics and associate professor of education. Bull began his career in education serving in Lutheran middle and high schools in Illinois and Wisconsin.

Rev. Dr. Leopoldo Sanchez, the Werner R.H. Krause and Elizabeth Ringger Krause Professor of Hispanic Ministries, professor of Systematic Theology and director of the Center for Hispanic Studies at Concordia Seminary, St. Louis, Missouri, will deliver the inauguration address.

Additionally, the ceremony will feature remarks by Bull, as well as multiple honored guests from the Seward community, the Concordia University System and the Council of Independent Nebraska Colleges Foundation.

The event will also be livestreamed at cune.edu/inauguration.
