The annual Light of Hope community event benefiting CAPstone Child Advocacy Center and CASA of Scotts Bluff County will be held at the Gering Civic Center Thursday.
Monica Shambaugh with CAPstone tells KNEB News children are seeing pornography online in unprecedented numbers.
Guest speaker Heidi Olson has done groundbreaking work in sounding the alarm about the role of pornography influencing child on child sexual assaults.
Shambaugh says the presentation is eye-opening and will infuse you with hope about how we can mitigate the harm being done to kids online.
Thursday’s benefit event runs from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Gering Civic Center, and there will be a wine draw for $20.
