As the Nebraska Cornhuskers look to bounce back from their first loss of the season, the Midwest Theater is hoping to pack the seats while hosting a great fundraiser.
Big Red on the Big Screen will be held this Saturday at the Historic theater on Broadway, and Executive Director Tina Worthman says it will be a fun filled day.
“It’s going to be amazing. It’s going to be like you’re at Memorial Stadium in western Nebraska. So we’re going to have a band, we’re going to have balloons. We’re going to have a bar, we’re going to have Runzas and hot dogs and Midwest concessions,” says Worthman. “We’ll have super amazing live and silent auction items. And so we’re hoping that as many people just load up the theater and watch Husker football and hope for a win and it’ll be a fantastically fun time.”
The game kicks off at 10 a.m. and there will be a live auction at halftime. Tickets for this fundraiser are $20 for Midwest Theater members and $25 for non-members.
