A 60-year-old Alliance woman is accused of taking more than $60,000 from an 85-year-old woman living at a care center in Box Butte County.
Felony charges of Abuse of a Vulnerable Adult and Theft by Unlawful Taking were filed against Kay Wallace last month, and she made her first court appearance last week in Box Butte County Court.
The victim’s granddaughter has been awarded temporary conservator status after alleging Wallace has been financially exploiting the senior citizen.
Wallace is scheduled to be back in court on August 13th for a hearing with counsel.
