An arrest affidavit obtained by KNEB News details the events that led up to a deadly shooting in Broadwater.

Authorities say that 32-year-old Joseph Bennett was at his father’s house and began arguing about chores. Bennett grabbed a .22 caliber revolver from the top of the fridge and fired two rounds, which resulted in the death of his father Rodney Bennett.

NSP Investigators say they recovered the weapon, and found two spent shell casings and four live rounds contained within the revolver’s cylinder.

Joseph Bennett is set to be arraigned on charges of 1st Degree Murder and Use of a Firearm to Commit a Felony today in Morrill County Court.
