A 61-year-old Gering woman has been arrested following two 2020 controlled buys conducted by the WING Drug Task Force.

Susan Gibbons was booked into the county detention center Friday afternoon after a warrant for her arrest was issued charging her with two counts of Distribution of an Exceptionally Hazardous Drug.

Court records say that on April 15 and 17, 2020, Gibbons reportedly sold more that 2 grams of methamphetamine to CI’s working for WING in controlled buys that occurred in both Mitchell and Gering.

Earlier this year, the drugs came back from the Nebraska State Crime Lab confirming that the substances sold by Gibbons did test positive as methamphetamine.

A warrant for her arrest was issued on Wednesday and served Friday, with bond set at $250,000 with a 10% provision. She is scheduled to make her first appearance on the two Class 2 felonies on Monday in Scotts Bluff County Court.

If convicted, each charge carries a sentence ranging from 1 to 50 years in prison.
