William Harvey Beebe, 91, of Mitchell, NE passed away Sunday, August 4, 2024, in Scottsbluff. Cremation has taken place per his wishes with a Celebration of Life service to be held from 1-4 PM on Saturday, August 31, 2024, at the Scotts Bluff County Fairgrounds in Mitchell. Private family inurnment will be held at Mitchell City Cemetery. Memorials may be made in care of the family to be designated at a later date. Bill was born April 7, 1933, to Leo and Thelma (Ferdon) Beebe. After high school he enlisted in the Army serving his country from June 1953 to April 1955. He was employed by Roosevelt Public Power, Loos Electric, the Fire Department, Regional West Maintenance and later volunteered to deliver candy. He was the past Commander of the American Legion Post #124, and volunteered for the VA. He loved fishing, golfing, playing pitch, teasing friends and family, woodworking and being outside. His favorite was being around his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Bill is survived by his children Tom Beebe of Mitchell, and Kathy Offen of Scottsbluff; 6 grandchildren and their spouses; 8 great-grandchildren; and 5 step-great-grandchild; and 1 step-great-great-grandchildren.
Bill is preceded in death by his parents, in-laws, wife Joan, brother Bob, son Mike Beebe, and girlfriend Janet William.
