Victoranne “Vicki” E. Rivera, 86, of Mitchell, Nebraska passed away at the Mitchell Care Center on December 1, 2021. Visitation will begin at 4:30 PM with the Rosary at 6 PM at St. Theresa Catholic Church in Mitchell. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 AM on Saturday at the church with Father Mike McDonald officiating. The Rosary and Funeral Mass will be livestreamed on the Dugan Kramer Facebook page. Vicki was born August 8, 1935 at Ft. Collins, Colorado to Norberto and Petronila (Rodriguez) Rivera. The family moved to the Mitchell area where they raised their family. Vicki made her home with her parents until their deaths and was residing in the family home until moving to the Mitchell Care Center in January of 2019 due to her Alzheimer’s Disease.
Vicki was a kind and caring person with all of her family, often taking on childcare duties for her nieces and nephews. She was a member of St. Theresa Catholic Church in Mitchell.
Vicki is survived by her sisters Josie Porras of Scottsbluff and Lucy (Manuel) Gallardo of Lincoln; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
Vicki was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, and sisters.
