Rudy Dominguez, 91, of Bridgeport, passed away June 4, 2024, at Skyview Nursing Home in Bridgeport. His memorial service will be held at 10:30am on Monday, June 17, 2024, at the Prairie Winds Community Center with Pastor Jonathan Seng officiating. Inurnment will follow at the Oregon Trail Memorial Cemetery in Bridgeport. There will be a luncheon to follow at the community center. It is respectfully requested that in lieu of any flowers, memorials may be made in care of Rudy’s family to be designated at a later time. Rudy was born on June 27, 1932, in Jalisco, Mexico to Maria Guadalupe Dominguez Vasquez and Apolonia Cisneros. He lived there until he was 14, then made the long journey to the United States where he became a citizen. He began working in the fields of Texas, making his way to Chicago, IL to work in a steel factory and laying pipelines. He then made his way to Bridgeport, NE and became a business owner. Bridgeport became his home where he married his wife Lourdes, and they had their children. Rudy built countless miles of barbed wire fence around the area. It was his passion for over 35 years.
Rudy is preceded in death by his parents; brother Jose Cisneros Dominguez; daughter Martha and granddaughter Audrey Dominguez.
He is survived by wife Lourdes Dominguez; children Sarah Arredondo, Rudy Dominguez, Alfredo Dominguez, Ruben (Ashleigh) Dominguez, Monica (Jesse) Weibert and Ramon Dominguez; and numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
