Michael (Mike) Gene Fauver, 75

Michael (Mike) Gene Fauver passed away July 3, 2024, at the age of 75, in Terrell, TX with his daughter by his side and surrounded by love. Mike was born September 18, 1948, in Beatrice Nebraska to Earl E. Fauver, Jr. and Shirley Campbell Fauver. Mike graduated from Scottsbluff High School and attended Western Nebraska Community College.

Mike proudly served our country from 1968 to 1974. He served four years active duty and two years reserve with the United States Navy. He was assigned sea service for three years and six months on board the U.S.S. Saratoga, where he got to see a lot of the world. The Saratoga conducted war time operations mainly in Vietnam and the Middle East.

Mike was preceded in death by his parents, his former wife Jodene Kaufman Simpson, and stepson Jason North. He is survived by daughter Michele Lynn Cox (partner Donavon Whiddon) of Terrell, TX and beloved grandchildren Wyatt and Shelby Cox of Terrell; Nicola Bennington (Shawn) of Milliken, CO, and Ryan (Vicki) Myers of Surprise, AZ children of deceased partner Deb Myers. Sister Janet Wynne (David) Frankfort, MI; niece Tracy Malinowski and nephew Brian Burrell of Rochester Hills, MI; great nephews Owen Malinowski and Cameron Burrell and great niece Brooke Burrell; and by several cousins.

Mike worked on pipeline for Kansas-Nebraska Natural Gas Company (now KN Energy) and as a surveyor for MC Schaff and Associates and the State of Nebraska. Later, he studied CAD-CAM technology and specialized in designing high speed can palletizing equipment for the beer, beverage, and food sectors at GoldCo packaging company as well as Advanced Manufacturing Technology in Loveland, CO. Mike was a lover of sports, especially the Nebraska Huskers and The Denver Broncos. He dedicated many weekends to NASCAR races, football, and baseball games. He loved to attend his grandchildren’s school events, soccer games, and baseball games. As a family they would love to watch movies and enjoy buckets of popcorn together. He will be truly missed. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of life is pending.
