Maria “Linda” Ramirez, 73, of Scottsbluff, passed away Saturday, November 27, 2021 at Regional West Medical Center in Scottsbluff. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, December 2, 2021 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Scottsbluff with Fr. Joseph Thambi as Celebrant. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Scottsbluff. Visitation will be held from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Wednesday, December 1, 2021 at Reverence Funeral Parlor in Scottsbluff with a Rosary beginning at 4 p.m. The services will be livestreamed and recorded to Linda’s obituary page at www.reverencefuneralparlor.com. Memorials may be made in care of the family and will be designated later.

Linda was born August 22, 1948 in Laredo, Texas to Manuel Flores and Felipa (Ventura) Rios. She married Francisco Ramirez in 1976.

Linda was the activities director at Heritage Estates in Gering until her retirement. She collected roosters and loved oldies music. She enjoyed her yearly trips visiting Mexico. Family was everything to her. She was a wonderful homemaker and caregiver throughout her life and a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.

Survivors include her husband, Francisco; children, Lisa Gonzales and Freddie Contreras; mother, Felipa (Ventura) Rios; brothers, Richard Flores, George Flores, Hector Flores, Robert Rios and Junior Rios; sisters, Margarita Gurrolla-Rios, Cindy Licerio, Patsy Flores, Leticia Munoz, Ana Hernandez, Cecilia Rattliff and Becky Flores; grandchildren, Alexis Haffner, Joseph Robert Gonzales Jr., Isabella Linda Gonzales, Nicolette Alissa Gonzales, Marco Hector Gonzales, Dallas Thomas-John Gonzales, Kiyarra Taylor Contreras, Kishon Michael Contreras, Mya Kae Contreras, Leah Herlinda Contreras, Leticia Lovato and Brenda Contreras; great grandchildren, Eddie, Ellie and Emmie Haffner, Lucas Kash Contreras, and Vienna and Milan Gonzales and Francisco Jr., Emiliano and Esmeralda Ramirez;  along with numerous extended family members and friends.

Linda was preceded in death by her father, Manuel Flores; son, Martin Contreras; sisters, Veronica Flores and Estella Castillo; brother, Manuel Flores Jr.; and grandson, Vincent Arrellano Jr.
