Lorraine Patricia Abel (Pat), 89, of Fort Collins, Colorado passed away on July 3, 2024 at the Center at Rock Creek rehabilitation Center. Cremation was chosen.
Pat was born in Scottsbluff, Nebraska on August 30.1934. She graduated from Scottsbluff High School, during which time she worked as a telephone operator and at the Bluffs theater. Following school she married Harold Abel and moved to their farm near Mitchell, Nebraska. Pat was active at Elks helping to run Bingo. She loved bowling, and participated in many leagues over the years . For a short time she worked at the jewelry counter inside Kmart. She loved having coffee or going out to eat and having a fun time out with her friends. Later in life spending time with her family, going out shopping, and especially seeing her granddaughter Sabrina made her day.
Left to cherish her memory is her son Greg (Amy) Abel, beloved granddaughter Sabrina, and many nieces and nephews.
Pat was preceded in death by her husband Harold, her parents Ben and Lydia Brethour, and her brother Stan (Virginia) Brethour.
