Bobby Lee Koch, age 77, of Scottsbluff, died on January 21, 2023, at his home, surrounded by family. Per his wishes, a cremation has taken place, and a memorial service will be held Saturday, January 28, 2023, at 10:30 a.m. at Zion Evangelical Church in Scottsbluff, with Pastor Andy Griess officiating. An informal gathering to greet the family will be on Friday, January 27, from 4:00-6:00 p.m. at Dugan Kramer Funeral Chapel. Inurnment will be at Fairview Cemetery at a later date. Bob was born September 6, 1945, in Scottsbluff to John and Leona (Margheim) Koch, and he received his early education from the Scottsbluff public school system, graduating from Scottsbluff High School. He married Sharon Nerud on July 18, 1965, at the Minatare Presbyterian Church, and they made their home in Scottsbluff.

When they were first married, Bob worked at Panhandle Co-op, after which he spent time working for Pepsi Co. and then Swifts. After Swifts closed, he went back to Co-op and made it his career for over 30 years, becoming manager. Bob was a member of the Elks, Scotts Bluff Country Club, and Ducks Unlimited. He was a wonderful man, who loved golf, football, baseball, and most all sporting events. His greatest love was his family and they, along with many friends will miss him dearly.

Survivors include his wife, Sharon; daughter, Julie (Duane) Aschenbrenner; son, Jason (Jennifer) Koch; siblings, Norma Blehm, Fran Strachan, John “Sonny” (Ruby) Koch, Jim (Ronda) Koch, and Karen Koch; 4 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Leona Koch; in-laws, Dick and Maxine Nerud; sister, Janet Brotzman; and brothers-in-law, Bruce Strachan, LaVern Blehm, and George Brotzman.
