The 25th Annual United Way Duck Draw is in the books, and in the end, a daughter and mother walked away with the top two prizes.

On Thursday at Team Chevrolet, Andrea Myers was presented with her Toyota Cross, and her mom Suzanne was presented with her Honda Pioneer Side by Side.

Team Chevrolet’s Kent Holub, Corolla Cross Winner Andrea Myers, United Way Executive Director Karen Benzel, Honda Pioneer winner Suzanne Myers, and Sandberg Honda’s Kelly Sandberg

Andrea tells KNEB News that the whole family was together on Saturday watching the Huskers game when they got the winning call, which turned the whole day around for them.

She says she just moved back to the area in 2020 and this was her first time purchasing ducks, but her parents have been longtime supporters of the United Way.

Suzanne says in the 25 years of the Duck Draw event, she had never won anything- until this past weekend.

“Never, and I never anticipated that I would. I have always just wanted to support United Way.”

More than $75,000 was raised through duck sales for the United Way Campaign, bringing them just under 25% of their $400,000 goal.
