The Colorado Rockies on Wednesday got beat on the road by the Philadelphia Phillies 7-6 as they were unable to avoid a three game sweep.

Game recap from the Rockies Radio Network

With the loss the Rockies are now 4-15 on the season, equaling the record of the Miami Marlins with only the dreadful Chicago White Sox worse at 3-15.

Kyle Schwarber and Trea Turner hit back-to-back homers off Rockies starter Ryan Feltner to start the game for the Phillies in the bottom of the first inning. Schwarber would homer twice in the game.

After eventually falling behind 7-1 the Rockies made things interesting in the 8th inning when they scored five runs, but they couldn’t get it tied or take the lead with Jose Alvarado locking down the save for Philadelphia in the 9th inning.

Feltner took the loss allowing six earned runs while striking out eight in five plus innings of work.

Christopher Sanchez started and got the win for the Phillies, he struck out 10.

Ezequiel Tovar finished with three hits and two RBI for Colorado.
