Troopers with the Nebraska State Patrol arrested a New York man after locating more than 250 pounds of cocaine during a traffic stop on Interstate 80 last week.

According to a Monday NSP news release, the incident occurred Thursday morning when a trooper stopped an eastbound Mitsubishi Outlander near Hershey driving with a license plate violation.

During the stop, an NSP K-9 detected the odor of a controlled substance inside the vehicle, and a search uncovered 258 pounds of cocaine.

The 31-year-old driver, Steven Windoloski of Massena, New York, was arrested on charges including possession of cocaine – more than 140 grams, and possession of cocaine with intent to deliver, and lodged in Lincoln County Jail.
