Scotts Bluff County Road and Bridge is advising motorists a major project gets underway next week on the eastern edge of Scottsbluff.
Weather permitting, the Highland Road Project will start Monday April 15th with concrete work at the bridge near Frank Powersports, to be followed by a mill and overlay east beyond Airport Road.
Roads Superintendent Steve Baird says motorists are encouraged to use alternate routes to help alleviate delays, including county roads 25, K and Skyport Drive to access the airport.
Flaggers and a pilot car will be used during construction, which is expected to be complete in mid-May.
