There was plenty of action around the region with softball games and volleyball matches taking place on Tuesday. Here’s the rundown on all of it.

Scottsbluff, Gering win road softball games

Scottsbluff 5, Alliance 0 – Aubrey Barrett came up big in the circle for the Cats tossing a complete game shutout with 8 strikeouts while allowing only three hits and no walks. At the plate Tatum Heimerman, Marly Laucomer, and Zoey Paez all had multi-hit games with Heimerman hitting a home run.

Gering 9, Chadron 2 – Makayla Michaelson drove in four runs and had three hits while Jacelyn Brown, Arianna Canseco, and Nickie Todd all had two hits in the top three spots in the order. In the circle Sarah Wiese struck out seven and allowed just one earned run in a complete game effort.
