We had a pair of games on the RRN-Scottsbluff on Thursday night as Scottsbluff swept their home doubleheader over Mitchell.
In the early game it was the Scottsbluff girls rolling to their 10th straight win with a 42-22 victory over the Tigers. The Lady Cats jumped out quickly to lead 17-4 at the end of the first quarter and this one was never in doubt.
Paige Horne led Scottsbluff with 13 points while Mitchell’s leading scorer was freshman Addy Bowlin, who scored 7.
In the boys contest it was all Scottsbluff as the Bearcats won it 71-33.
Scottsbluff connected on 12 three point makes with 11 different players scoring. Michael Mickey led the way with 13 points.
It was a fun night for some of the reserves as Rylee Meininger, Max Howell, Caleb Swisher, Riley Schwartzkopf, and Landon Amundsen combined to score 19 points.
Scottsbluff will travel for a road doubleheader against Hastings tonight at North Platte Community College while Mitchell will play games tomorrow against Gordon-Rushville.
