The West Nebraska Arts Center is a recipient of funding from the Oregon Trail Community Foundation in the amount of $2,000.

This grant helped with the lights in our Bronson Gallery, which is used for community artwork as well as our education programs.

WNAC moved their classes from the kitchen/classroom area during 2020, allowing them to spread the students out.

In a release, WNAC officials say now that they have become so comfortable with the space for teaching, that it is hard to believe they started out in the classroom/kitchen area, and have found immersing the children in the artwork of the Bronson Gallery teamed with spreading students out helps children be more engaged with their own artwork.

In addition, artists will have more light to create their masterpieces with the lighting upgrade work that will be done next week.
