Six Arrested Following Thursday Traffic Stop in Scottsbluff

Scottsbluff Police say they were able to make several arrests as the result of a traffic stop Thursday afternoon.

According to Capt. Lance Kite, shortly after 4 p.m. officers made the stop near East 14th Street and 12th Avenue, leading to the arrest of 35-year-old Amanda Cyr and 63-year-old Jose Rosado, both of Scottsbluff, on Possession of Methamphetamine.

Kite says as part of the investigation, a search warrant was obtained and served at a residence in the 1600 block of 7th Avenue with the assistance of the Scotts Bluff County SWAT team, at which time four other people were taken into custody on various charges or warrants.

35-year-old Dillon Deines of Scottsbluff was arrested for Possession of Methamphetamine, 23-year-old Raquel Nevarez of Morrill on a warrant for Failure to Appear, 30-year-old Lyman resident Marcos Martinez on a Goshen County warrant for Burglary, and 33-year-old Jesse Dean of Scottsbluff on a warrant for Discharge of a Firearm within City Limits and Intentional Child Abuse, along with a new charge of Resisting Arrest.

Cyr also received an additional charge of Aiding and Abetting a Fugitive from justice, and all involved were transported to the Scotts Bluff County Detention Center.

The Scottsbluff Police Department was assisted by the WING Drug Task Force, the Scotts Bluff County Sheriff’s Office, Scottsbluff Fire Department, and Valley Ambulance Service.
