Scotts Bluff County will once again be receiving money from the Nebraska Department of Roads County Bridge Match fund to replace an old structure across one of the county’s many waterways.
Officials tell KNEB News the project to replace a bridge on County Road 5 northeast of Lyman at Horse Creek has been approved to receive funding available through the state’s Transportation Innovation Act.
The three-span timber structure that has been closed for some time will be replaced with a single-span steel girder bridge.
NDOT will be picking up $200,000 of the approximately $400,000 cost of replacing the bridge later this year.
