Area runners perform well at Sidney Cross Country Invite

The Sidney Cross Country Invite was held on Thursday at the Hillside Course with plenty of runners from the region posted solid finishes.

Gering got first and second place finishes in the girls varsity race as Madison Seiler crossed the line first with a winning time of 19:13 while teammate Jadyn Scott finished second at 20:00.

Leyton’s Axi Benish was the fourth place finisher.

In the team standings Gering tied with North Platte with 18 points for the meet.

In the boys race Gering’s Nathan Seiler finished third with a time of 17:12 with fellow Bulldog Axton Stone right behind him in fourth place (17:13).

North Platte topped the boys standings with 15 points and Gering was second with a total of 26 points.
