OVERTON – After a 32-3 campaign that finished with a State Championship last year, the Overton Volleyball team expects another high quality season as they look to 2024.
It will be a new team that takes the court for the Eagles this year, as Overton lost five seniors that were a part of last years run. One of the key returners will be junior Daisy Ryan who earned All-Conference honors last year and was part of the Class D-2 All-Tournament team. Chloe Svarvari and Gracen Hughes are two other key pieces that return who had experience last season. Overton will have a good mix of both experience and new faces as they take the court to begin the year.
While last years team was a great power hitting team, Overton Volleyball head coach Hayley Ryan expects this years team to be a great ball control team and have unpredictable hitters. She spoke with KRVN’s Jon Willis.
Overton will start their season at their own tournament on August 31st.
